When the soul lies down in the grass, the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase
each other doesn't make any sense.

About M'Larky

I am a Gemini.  I am both an extrovert & introvert, mostly the first.  I have always taken both solace and replenishment from nature, my sanctuary.  This has enabled me balance; especially in my work as a writer, mentor, and massage therapist.  On their journey of well being, I am able to act as a bridge for my clients by helping them to remember the power they inherently possess.

As a child, the woods and meadows of my aunt’s backyard were where I went to escape life’s challenges.  It was there that I discovered a place of magic and healing, a place to explore and immerse myself in the beauty of nature.  A place to discover my true self.  I am free to be the child I once was and always will be . . . while growing older at the same time.

Hiking is, for me, my walking meditation.  I try to do this daily, and, when I can, I like to take long, weekend hikes or head out for weeks at a time.  And that has lead me to this blog’s title, Hiking the Sacred Self

The goal of my recent Superior Hiking Trail hike was to carry the intention of love and renewal for the earth who is so generous with her gifts of beauty, medicine, and resources.  I have always had a dream of hiking the Appalachian Trail, hiking in New Zealand, Iceland, Alaska, the Lake District, Ireland, and the Long Trail in Vermont, to name a few.  I've finally realized, "Why can't I"?  My purpose is to carry the intentions of others, as well as my own, on this journey.

If you have an intention for anyone, including yourself, you may choose to sponsor me on my hikes, and I will set forth with your intention and tell you about my inspirations, insights, and revelations on the journey.  When you’re out, immersed in the woods, all messages (the message) become clear.  On my return from each of these hikes and via this blog, I will share with you my poetry, descriptions, and experiences that I've gathered on the trail.

I'd love to hear from you to get to know my readers.  You can click here to e-mail me privately or leave a comment in the 'Shout-Outs from the Trail' section which follows each blog post.
